Le Bon Marché voit double
Le Bon Marché is seeing double

“Twice as Nice!” To celebrate and explore the notion of duos, the Bon Marché department store chose a title that neatly sums up the power of tandems: the associations of products (mini/maxi, parent/infant), workshops (design, music), unusual collaborations. Pairs are in the spotlight! Women’s fashion, menswear, interiors; no department was overlooked, down to the “double room”, a space designed with women in mind by special guest Morgane Sézalory, founder of the Sézane brand, and for the men’s side, by Octobre Editions. Because there’s strength in unity.
February 8th to April 19th, Bon Marché Rive Gauche

Nochapiq, Out of the frying pan and into the fire

“When I ‘Chanel-ize’ a toothbrush, it’s a meeting between luxury and everyday life.” Now there’s a sizzling artist! A former designer and stylist in the luxury goods sector and now a multi-talented artist, Noémie Chaillet, alias Nochapiq, affixes her signature all over the place. Usually it’s by wrapping furniture or everyday objects with wrapping ribbons from the big luxury houses. She’s got us wrapped around her little finger!

Louboutin
Louboutin shows off.

His vocation received a boost of energy after he noticed a sign at Paris’s Palais de la Porte Dorée museum forbidding the wearing of high heels. That is where Christian Louboutin chose to organize his exhibit. Under the provocative title “Exhibition-ist”, the designer presents a large selection of shoes, some of which have never been shown, or one-off projects, and plenty of his own designs. His entire creative process in fact. Because, as the man with the red sole so eloquently resumes, “to exhibit is to appear naked. An exhibition is where you exhibit yourself.”
